PSV Eindhoven make the trip to Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday looking to end their three-match winless streak in the Eredivisie.

At a time when the visitors sit in second position in the standings, Go Ahead Eagles are in seventh, albeit eight points clear of the teams behind them.

Having had a week off after their dramatic Champions League success over Juventus, PSV Eindhoven were seemingly well set to reach the final of the KNVB Beker when they met Go Ahead Eagles on Wednesday.

However, it was the underdogs who impressively prevailed at the Philips Stadion, two first-half goals proving enough to secure a 2-1 victory.

PSV have now only won two of their last seven games in all competitions, the onus now on ensuring that they remain competitive for silverware heading into the March international break.

Peter Bosz's side have recently fallen five points adrift of leaders Ajax in the Eredivisie, a consequence of three successive draws.

With those stalemates coming against NEC, Willem II and FC Utrecht, there is an urgency over getting back on track, and but there three defeats in the Dutch top flight have all come away from home.

As for Go Ahead Eagles, their priority for the season is now winning the KNVB Beker for the first time in their history after achieving one of the most notable triumphs in their history on Wednesday.

After losing twice in 13 games preceding that fixture, Paul Simonis would have had confidence in his side, yet that should take nothing away from stunning the Dutch giants on away territory.

Go Ahead Eagles had gone into that encounter having not emerged victorious on their travels since January 10, and they will now be looking to extend their outstanding home form.

Not since losing 5-1 to Feyenoord on October 19 have Go Ahead Eagles lost at De Adelaarshorst, a total of 24 points coming from their 12 home fixtures.

Despite the three-day turnaround, Simonis may have been prepared to select the same Go Ahead Eagles XI for this contest.

However, Gerrit Nauber will sit out this contest courtesy of a one-match ban, the centre-back potentially being replaced by Julius Dirksen.

Milan Smit could retain his place down the centre of the attack having been recalled for the KNVB Beker semi-final.

Meanwhile, Noa Lang may come back into the PSV starting lineup after he was called upon from the substitutes' bench at half time in that fixture.

Johan Bakayoko could miss out in what may prove to be the only alteration, Ivan Perisic remaining on the left after netting in three of his last four outings.

Go Ahead Eagles possible starting lineup:
De Busser; Deijl, Dirksen, Kramer, James; Linthorst, Llansana; Antman, Edvardsen, Suray; Smit

PSV Eindhoven possible starting lineup:
Drommel; Ledezma, Flamingo, Boscagli, Malacia; Veerman, Schouten; Lang, Til, Perisic; De Jong
